PRIMAL!
Primal rhythms bring back the spirit of nature. Music
& Motion is a fresh, original, seven member dance troupe that
offers unique dance pieces for Earth Day which take its audiences
on a journey from the outback of Australia to Amazon and the
tropical rain forests. This production is hypnotic, developed
from the primal rhythms we all have in us!
Janet's Planet
With guitar in hand, she plays upbeat, rhythmic music
that gets everyone singing, clapping and dancing. It's music
for kids, but according to Janet's grownup fans, it's wonderful
for all ages. Janet comes with her guitar, microphone and amplifier
and a big purple suitcase filled with costumes, scarves and
instruments. In addition to songs which are just plain fun,
she emphasizes an appreciation of our planet earth and the environment.
Earth Woman & Trash Man
It's a bird....It's a plane....No, It's Earth Woman
and Trash Man! These two very special super heroes only come
out for Earth Day. As they stroll throughout your site, they
present a series of vignettes dealing with the earth, pollution,
recycling, conflict and change.
Young Seedlings
This program is designed for children of all ages. Each child
will have the opportunity to plant and grow his/her very own
flowers from seedlings. We provide all the materials - pots,
soil, flower seeds, and garden tools. Each child will be assisted
in decorating their own pot/container, filling it with soil
and planting their choice of flower seeds. Call for quotation.
Tropical Journey
Take a trip to one of Earth's most precious habitats: the tropical
rainforest. Learn how rainforests function, and meet some of

Zoo On Wheels
The "Zoo On Wheels", an outreach program of the Philadelphia
Zoo travels to your location with animals, artifacts and action-packed
programs. These programs are designed to both educate and entertain
students. Zoo On Wheels is suitable for grades 1-12, and for
up to 300 people. These interactive programs will have the students
on the edge of their seats. Cost: please call for quotation.
A storyteller from the Pennsylvania mountains, Robin tells rich
tales about early American culture and life in the natural world.
Robin's family has lived in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania
for nearly 200 years. His ancestors were Scotch-Irish frontiersmen
who settled the area after the Revolutionary War. As a boy,
he developed a love for the woods and an ear for spoken words.
Today, Robin is an internationally-known author of more than
a dozen award-winning books and has a busy schedule of performances,
workshops and speaking engagements. He lives with his family
in a stone farmhouse on a small patch of land in Montgomery
County, PA. Robin is owner of Groundhog Press, a small independent
publishing house which produces books and tapes celebrating
the oral tradition. He has been active in the storytelling movement
as president of Patchwork : The Philadelphia Storytelling Guild
and as CO-Producer of MoonDance Productions, an independent
production company which organizes and promotes regional storytelling
performances.
Mad Science aims to spark the imagination and curiosity of children
everywhere by providing them with fun, entertaining and educational
activities that instill a clear understanding of what science
is really about and how it affects the world around them. Their
special events entertain children through spectacular interactive
science shows that captivate audiences and deliver extraordinary
experiences.
Garbage ART
This is a program that makes recycling fun!
Children of all ages will learn how to transform materials normally
discarded in to works of art. Everyone involved is guaranteed
to have fun while learning an alternative means to use materials
that would otherwise be considered trash.
Cosmos Jugglers
The Cosmos Jugglers are a hilarious blend of environmental
education and entertainment. These two futuristic costumed jugglers
blend their juggling routines with lessons about practical solutions
to real environmental problems.
Earth Day Concerts featuring....
Mountain Laurel Blue Grass Band
The Mountain Laurel Bluegrass Band's tight vocal harmonies
and solid instrumentation make for a dynamic sound and authentic
bluegrass music. The band combines bluegrass classics from Bill
Monroe, The Stanley Brothers and Flatt & Scruggs with songs
from country legends like Ernest Tubbs, Patsy Cline and Kitty
Wells.
Jones Alison Duo
Classic country, blues and just plain down to earth good
music is provided by this Philadelphia area guitar duo. This
is a guaranteed crowd pleaser.
Segal Puppets
For Earth Day, the Segal Puppets have created a special
"Professor" character that interacts with guests sniffing
out trouble in the environment. In a one on one interaction,
they come up with pratical solutions and everyday practices
we should all abide by to keep our environment safe! Please
note this is not a sit down puppet show, but an interactive
character.
